12 Angry Men (1957) directed by Sidney Lumet and starring Henry Fonda. This film depicts a jury deliberating the fate of a young Latino boy accused of murdering his father. The members of the jury literally hold this boy's life in their hands, and the process of deliberation is a captivating study in human personality, motivation and communication. Though it seems slightly dated in details today, the acting could not be better. Fonda anchors an all-star cast, and brilliantly displays how one individual can guide a hostile group through a process of problem solving and decision making.
